The POC General Competition Rules (2007 GCRs) will be enforced. Available for download at: www.porscheownersclub.org DETAILS: This 65 minute enduro will be held Saturday afternoon. There will be TROPHIES for the OVERALL Red Group winner as well as FIRST IN CLASS trophies. There will be TROPHIES for the podium finishers of the Orange Group, as well as participant plaques for everyone! Details of this race can be found on the attached page. Join us after the race for a cocktail hour and an all you can eat BBQ. Race videos, including bloopers & blunders will be shown on a giant screen! Entry fee is FREE! Qualifications: This event requires current POC membership and a 2007 POC Competition License for all drivers. If you are a licensed driver with another Club, you may be eligible to enter the POC Time Trial Series and/or the Cup Races. Vehicle Tech Inspection: Your Vehicle Log Book is required for registration. Please pre-tech to avoid check-in delays. Tech will be provided at the track on Saturday morning by Michael Essa of Tech Trix. Join us for Pre-Registration Friday night at WILLOW RANCH from 7pm–9pm. Directions: Buttonwillow Raceway is 126 miles north of downtown LA and 28 miles northwest of Bakersfield. From LA, travel north on I-5 towards Bakersfield. Stay on I-5 north, continue past the town of Buttonwillow for 12 miles. Exit Lerdo Highway and travel west 1/2 mile to the track entrance. Camping: Motorhome camping will be allowed on Friday, & Saturday nights. Please call ahead for a reservation. Electrical hookups (where available) are $45. Quiet time will be enforced from midnight to 6 am. Friday: Sept. 21st: This is a Buttonwillow Open Test Day. Gates open @ 7:00 am. Track is hot from 9am-5pm. OFFICIAL RULES OF THE 2007 BUTTONWILLOW 100 ENDURO
Based upon the feedback that we have received from all of you after this year’s Tribute, we have setup a very fun race for everyone. To encourage participation from racers of all classes, we will all kinds of awards to give out including Trophies and participation plaques. The Red Group Race will be a 65-minute enduro with one mandatory 5-minute pit stop. There will be no handicaps for any of these classes. You may enter this race with or without a co-driver. You must complete your pit stop no later than 40 minutes into the race. The car that completes the most laps in the allotted time of 65 minutes will win the race. The Orange Group Race goes beyond FUBAR! This race will be a 65-minute enduro with mandatory pit stops as defined by your class handicap. You may enter this race with 1 car and 1 driver, or 1 car and 2 drivers, or with 2 cars and 2 drivers. All pit stops must be served consecutively, one after the other. The Starter will throw a checkered flag at the 26-minute mark of the race. All of the Orange Racers will proceed at race speed to their pits for their mandatory pit stops. The first stint car will serve the allotted pit time, followed immediately by the second stint car serving its pit time. After both pit stop times have elapsed, the second stint car will be released. The entrant or team that completes the most laps in the allotted time of 65 minutes will win the race. R5: 375 seconds R6: 313 seconds BSR: 287 seconds R7: 269 seconds R9S: 237 seconds R8: 175 seconds (Pit stop times subject to change) If you enter the race with 1 car and 1 driver, you serve 2 pit times for your vehicle class. If you enter the race with 1 car and 2 drivers, you serve 2 pit times for your vehicle class. If you enter the race with 2 cars and 2 drivers, you serve 1 pit time for each vehicle class. EXAMPLE: 1. John Smith enters his R5 car. He has no co-driver. His pit time will 750 seconds (375 seconds x 2) 2. John Smith enters his R5 car. Bill is his co-driver. They serve consecutive 375 second pit stops, for a total pit time of 750 seconds. 3. John Smith enters his R5 car. His teammate is Adam Jones in a BSR car. John serves 375 seconds and Adam serves 287 seconds, for a total pit time of 662 seconds. |
